Summer with the Browns

Here are a few pictures of Molly and her BLUE RIBBONS! The were taken at the Newton County Fair for 4-H.

These pictures were taken during a reinactment of a Civil War battle. Charlie was the colonel in charge at the time. It was his idea to do the whole thing and they had 90 people take part in it. It was really cool! One picture is of Molly and Kayla washing clothes in a refugee camp. Lanae was in it too, but I didn't get a picture of her because she was with another group. There is also one of Maddie with her handerchief doll.
We miss you and send our love....

Hi all,
The tractor Charlie is standing by is not his, just one on display at the fair. How do you like his beard. It is real, not fake. He shaved it off the next day while we were there. Molly's apple pie that she got a blue ribbon on was almost the grand champion of the fair, but a 92 year old lady who baked a chocolate cake beat her out of it. Pretty good for her age. Grandma Brown
